November 2025 was a significant moment in the story of Charlcombe Community Nature Reserve as the first ever land management plan was published (see this section of the website for a plan on a page and the full plan). It aimed to set out a clear plan for how the local community, working with the landowner, B&NES Council, could create the conditions for wildlife to flourish, and open up a green space where people could connect with wildlife.

This highlight report takes a look at what we’ve collectively achieved in the first year of the plan (April 2025 to March 2026), thanks to our volunteers and partners.
